Originally from the Upstate of SC, Rick has lived in the Greenville area since 1997. He started his career as a paramedic and later served as an air traffic controller before entering the real estate business in 1999. Rick is the Founder/Owner of Great Homes of the Upstate, a residential real estate brokerage located in Greer SC. Rick and his team of over 15 REALTORS serve those looking to buy or sell a home in Greer and the surrounding Upstate communities. They served over 100 clients in 2019 and are on track to serve almost twice as many in 2020.
Rick has always been in the business of helping others and may be best described by those who work with and for him as an “anchor”—someone driven to be purposeful and protective of those who look to him for guidance. Rick is deeply invested in his community and is an active member of numerous organizations including the Greater Greer Chamber of Commerce and the Greer Station Association. He is currently serving as Vice-Chair of the Taylors Business Association, a Board member of the Greer Farmers Market, and is a recent graduate of LeadershipGreer Class 40. He co-hosts GreerBusiness360, a weekly podcast that features business owners and leaders from the Greer area. Given his commitment to continual learning and mentoring, he is a coach and speaker with ClubWealth and coaches numerous real estate agents and brokers across the country.
Rick and his wife, Christina, who are parents to four amazing and super active kids, stay on the go! In addition to being avid fans of whatever their kids’ are involved in (horse riding, college activities, etc), they enjoy hiking and camping, travel, playing with their dogs (Bean, Dabo, and Maggie). They love to cheer for the Clemson Tigers and they are often sharing a night out with friends eating Mexican food, drinking coffee, or savoring a glass of red wine.
