THE Weekly Digest
Wealth Notes
Weeeeellllcome back, Club Wealth family! What a wonderful week it was in Denver at Listing Agent Boot Camp! We were so happy to spend those memorable days with you at the Omni Interlocken sharing tips, learning new real estate systems, and just chatting as old friends do. If you missed the party, tickets for Business Strategy Mastermind™ Conference 2022, which will be held at the Sheraton Park Hotel in Anaheim, CA, from October 25-26, are on sale now!!
Buyer Agents:
Part of your job is to help your clients make good offers on the homes they’ve targeted. This requires deep knowledge of the local market and local and national trends, as well as the ability to explain contractual terms and a patient ear. Remember, this will be the biggest purchase in many of your clients’ lives for 10+ years.
Team Leaders & Broker/Owners:
Get to know your people. If you want your team to trust and love you to the point of loyalty, you need to form connections with them. The longer people stay on your team, the better you should know them. Yes, you’re busy, but if you started a business and want to see it succeed, you’re not too busy to talk with team members.
Admin:
You are a touchstone of the company: If you present a bad image, it affects everyone. Similarly, you are the go-to source for all company perks and resources. It’s up to you to know all of the company’s computer programs and systems and to be able to communicate your knowledge to others to keep the company running smoothly. Plus, you get to fill the snack basket with the things you like.
Listing Agents:
Stick to the basics! Just because there’s some new tech gadget promising to make life easier for you doesn’t mean that gadget can replace the traditional way of doing things, nor does it mean that gadget won’t be replaced by still newer technology within a year. Real estate professionals existed before computers, and the methods and systems these agents have developed and passed down over the years are powerful, reliable ones. This is not a luddite rage against machines: Rather, be wary that technology often is not all that it promises to be and be deliberate in your decision-making if ever you decide to introduce a new digital system or tool into your business operations.
Recruiting:
Make your application process simple enough to enable busy people to apply, but complex enough that applicants need to dedicate their time and focus to the application if they are to complete it properly (a BS detector). You’ll quickly screen poor and lazy candidates.
