Weekly Digest #14
The Weekly Digest
Wealth Notes
Spring has sprung, and there are only three weeks until Listing Agent Boot Camp. We can’t wait to see you in Denver. Whether interest rates are high or low, we’re here for you with the latest industry trends and tips. If you haven’t gotten your tickets yet: join us from April 12-13 (more information below).
This week’s advice:
Buyer Agents:
Always set the next appointment! Never leave or hang up a phone call without the next appointment scheduled. To start, offer value and free consultations to ensure the buyer knows you’re there for them, thus building their trust in you. When you’re out showing homes, set the next time you’ll do showings with them. If people feel they have invested their time/energy/schedule in something, they are less likely to cancel on you or to seek another agent.
Team Leaders & Broker/Owners:
This may seem like a no-brainer, but do the right thing. Keep this in mind at the individual, team, and client/customer levels. If ever your desires conflict with those of the team or a client, err on your team’s/client’s side. Go all-in on service. The leader eats last!
Admin:
Take the initiative! If you don’t you’ll quickly get behind on your work. Critical to this is prioritizing. When you prioritize, you not only clear your path to action – you also help the team by accomplishing the most important things first. People will then know they can count on you.
Listing Agents:
Boost your business and SOI by jumping on social media. Countless agents have built entire careers through their successful social media strategy. While of course you’ll ultimately want to diversify your lead sources, social media is a great place to start if you’re new to a market. Recruiting:
Embrace flexibility. Hire freelancers or part-time workers to take listing photos, for example. Also, be flexible with team members’ locations and communicate that in the hiring process. As long as they’re getting their work done and the job doesn’t require them to be in the office, location shouldn’t matter.
